Till some time ago, there used to be an advertisement on TV in which eggs were said to be the secret of staying healthy.  

Its tag line was 'Sunday or Monday, eat eggs every day'. It is advisable to eat eggs daily because of the nutritious elements present in them. 

It is believed that the elements present in eggs contain the highest amount of protein.   In such a situation, it is an excellent source of protein. People are advised to eat eggs for protein. One egg contains 6-7 grams of protein.

However, vegetarians do not eat eggs and have to take supplements to meet the protein requirement in their body.
